Use chords for string. It will add an atmosphere of mystery. If you don't know what I mean by this, listen to my " in the eye of the storm ". Its a similar track.

Its like you didn't master the claps. I'm guessing you used raw samples for it and didn't modify them. Remaster them if you get the chance. Filter a bit and add some reeverb. It will give your song extra dimension.
The bass and lower piano notes tend to clash together at some points and create a blur. You can reduce this by panning effects. Make one more left and one more right. Or use filter.
The intro is just one synth playing. When you start your songs you should use intropercussion. It will give the song extra dimensions.

Hey, thanks man, your my first review. I don't do all the audio stuff, editing wise like that. my brother does that. he is going to teach me, though he's out in BC working. he does this for a living. ...anyway, I did hear him mention using a MIDI, (he also supplied the instruments for me to use while he was away. or at least till I could afford my own, LOL.

I tend to look at this song as me beginning to shift as a songwriter towards more of what I like to create than what I had created thus far up to this point--I liked what I made, but my style begins to really develop from this point on, I think.

"An extra dimension" i like that. lol.. i know i cant get the original file, but i still have the audio track. It may be a good piece to sing to... thanks to my first review on this song! owe you one lol. I am pleased you have enjoyed this piece. i must say there is not actually a defined melody as such during alot of this piece. that was kind of intentional. i didnt want to make anyone "think" to much. it distracts from the clear state of mind i hoped to achieve. I will definately work on my volume control LOL. it is a pain when all your songs have inconsistent volumes.
Also panning effects sound good. wish i thought of it before! lol.
